i have an early oil painting by tarbell showing a young girl ,maybe josephine, wearing a beautiful white dress being attended to by her maid. his artwork is so sensitive and the interior setting so comfortable. I enjoy this painting so much and appreciate tarbell’s choice of painting his family members.
