Milt Caniff is a local hero here in Dayton, Ohio, where he went to school and started his career. Seems like I grew up with Steve Canyon, whom I guess I had a crush on. Never much liked action comics, but Steve was something else. One of his teachers became a friend of mine late in her life and she admired him greatly as a person, as well as an artist. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Another great blog!
