I have had preston's book in the booklet versions and the much larger Animation which has the same stuff but with some extras in it. If you are trying to learn to draw you will need a few more books and some life drawing however Preston Blair does tell you a lot you need to know about both animation and just plain cartooning and artists such as John Byrne and Bill Plimpton have both used this book.

Of course everyone learns differently and just using one book alone or one way of doing something might not help however you should have this book in your library if you arer serious about cartooning, both moving and non-moving forms.
