Thanks, Rigg. Interesting to know about. The information available on Cobb's history as an illustrator is spotty at best.

For the benefit of other readers, I checked Amazon. Though there is some info on the title, it's not available through them or their used book suppliers at the moment, and there's no cover image.

In addition to his published poetry, Rigg Kennedy is an established character actor, with a long list of film, television and theater credits. (Additional info on Wikipedia.)

I was fortunate to have Ron Cobb illustrate the cover of my poetry book, RIGGWORDS, with a tricycle alighting an alien world during an eclipse. That cover got so many more people to read my first book than it would have been sans Ron's cover genius. Please don't ever not believe "You can't judge a book by its cover." I only hope my words lived up to his inviting cover. Now more than any other time in history, the world will benefit from his view,really!---rigg kennedy

Maybe Cobb's real legacy could be his stunning interiors for the spacecraft Nostromo in "Alien", establishing an aesthetic standard which has been with us ever since. There are examples of these at http://hugues.namur.free.fr/images_autres_HD/vaisseaux/illus/ron-cobb_gallery/.
