And, as James Gurney points out the comment above, Vadeboncoeur has an amazing talent for picking out superb, and often long-lost, material and presenting it beautifully. Jim V.'s collections are sure to surprise fans of illustration, pen and ink, and hand lettering with amazing work by both famous and unknown artists. His latest volume presents a lot of gems gleaned from his recent collecting trip to Paris. He chooses works from the height of the "golden age" 1890-1922, and puts a lot of effort and expertise into restoring and enhancing faded source material so that the reproductions look fresh and new.
