I went to Flying Dog Comics in Chatsworth, CA Saturday, I took my wife and my 1 year old son to get his first comics. I love FCBD, I think it is a grand idea. I think it was really good for the shoppe too, which I am glad for because he really runs a great shoppe.

Charley,
I was a guest artist today at Sarge's Comics in New London, CT for Free Comic Book Day. This is the fifth year I have participated and from what I saw it is as popular as ever. For people in Connecticut the event may be an extension from NY Comic Con the weekend before last. There were plenty of New Englanders in the Big Apple for the Con. The vendors and booths were quite varied and the comics industry seems healthy and evolving.
I was even fortunate enough at NY Comic Con to attend a lecture by James Gurney and receive a beautiful, signed lithograph from Journey to Chandara.
Free Comic Book Day was great and I can't wait until next year. It has helped me build some fans!
