The detail and the texture in these are amazing.

Always a pleasure browsing your blog! So much to discover. Corot is a wonderful painter. This fall there is going to be a corot exhibition close to my home in Karlsruhe, Germany which I am looking forward to.

Just rereading some of your old posts about some of my favorite painters. The Corot exhibition in Karlsruhe, Germany last year was wonderful – there is something very special about his later landscapes. They have this soft, calm siver-green tonality strewn with glittering accents in pure colors, absolutely beautiful.

I have yet to do a post specifically on Corot, but he is high on my list.
