The thing that jumped out at me, and which is present in nearly all paintings, is a foreboding darkness. Whether the dark clouds in the first image, the dark tunnels (in four separate images!), the dog standing in front of a dark forest, or the girl staring at another dark forest... it's as though the darkness is lurking in the background, hiding some terrible secret. Love it.
